The British Safety Councils Level 2 Award in Risk Assessments provides an introduction to the essential concepts of risk assessments including the legislative obligations. It aims to provide employees with the knowledge and understanding of how and why risk assessments are undertaken.
The specification is based on the Health & Safety Executives Five Steps to Risk Assessment and has been regulated by the Qualifications Regulators at Level 2 in the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

Duration: 1 day
Assessment: An online assessment which will be completed after the course but within six months of registration
- Understanding the importance of risk assessments
- Understanding the principles of controlling risks
- Understanding how a risk assessment is undertaken.
Delegates aim to leave with knowledge of hazards and assessing risks, existing and future control measures and how to document their findings.

You do not have to have any prior knowledge or experience and this course is relevant to all levels of employee across all industries and businesses.

Upon successful completion you will receive the Level 2 Award in Risk Assessment certificate supplied by The British Safety Council.
