Handling, lifting or carrying is the second highest cause of non-fatal injuries in the workplace according to HSE statistics. A responsible employer should provide training and information to all employees who are required to lift, pull, push or manoeuvre items as part of their work.
Our Manual Handling training offers learners the chance to gain a deeper understanding of:
- What manual handling is
- Anatomy and injuries
- Good handling technique (including a practical element)
- The Manual Handling Operations Regulations
- Assessing and controlling risks
Our training team include Chartered Members of IOSH with years of practical industry and teaching experience.
There is no formal assessment for this course; delegates are visually assessed by the trainer through their participation and performance in the practical elements.
Upon successful completion delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.
Duration: 1 day (maximum of 8 delegates)
Location: Our training centre in Derby City Centre with free car parking, or from your offices.
